Lempinen is an experienced printmaker whose favourite techniques are
aquatint and drypoint and favourite colour is - guess what! She
plays with architectural and natural forms. These prints are overflown
with water and air, seawind and rain. Blue is a a calm and cool,
philosophical colour but there is something strange happening under the
cool surface of the pictures: circus life, pencil sharp thinking, free
drifting and secret love nests in the tents. The mist or the fog gets
thicker or lighter depending on how you feel today. |
